Ciara’s “Ride” video: Banned by BET and MTV? (video)
May 19, 2010 7 Comments
ATL’s princess of Crunk, Ciara’s “Ride” video is so hot, apparently that BET has refused to air it without several edits, and now MTV has banned it as well.
Word?
How explicit does your video have to be for BET — BET! — to say it’s too much??? And MTV? That’s just a joke. MTV has reality TV shows with more steam than Cinemax! #justsayin
Of course both companies are owned by Viacom, whose reality TV lineup has become known as a slutfest.
Sure, Ciara is doing a bevy of suggestive dances in the video, and grinds constantly, but, BET and MTV — the purveyor of skin videos banning this?
I don’t know. Bey and Riri both have gotten away with some stuff. Although the song is clearly sexual, they haven’t touched Trey Songz’ video, and you know that’s in the same lane.
What do you think?
