Alicia Keys wants to be child’s ‘best friend’

Alicia Keys spoke out on motherhood recently, saying, she’d like to model her relationship with her child after what she and her mother have.
“I have an amazing mother – she is a best friend to me. And I would like to be the same to my child,” Keys recently told the Mirror (UK).
“I can’t wait to become a mom. No question,” she said. “It’s the most beautiful gift in the world. Truly a gift from God.”
Keys also said she and super producer-fiance Swizz Beats may adopt.
“Adopting is definitely not out of the question. I would love to figure out the ways that could work for me,” she told the Mirror.
“I felt I wanted to scoop up the children I met in Africa and take them home. At this point I kinda feel I have amazing brothers and sisters in Africa.
The couple could use a few crumb snatchers to fill up that big crib they purchased earlier this year.
