Found this uber-ghetto pic yesterday and had to share it. If this is album art, then you can just imagine what the music sounds like. (Geeerrbagge). But this reminds us, who else has some epic ghetto art for an album cover?
Ah, Snoop “Doggy Dogg”. The greatest West Coast rapper of all time is based on a cartoon character of German-Norwegian descent. But, Snoop Dogg? Cali all the way, baby.
And who can forget Parliament Funkadelic’s iconic futuristic album covers. They fused Andy Warhol pop images with sci fi-tinged funk art, and came up with what would become universally known as “Cosmic Slop.”
New York rapper Just Ice came out with this album cover when old school was new. This is at least 25 years old, and still represents what’s going on in the hood. Even the gold teeth are still popular, in some areas.

Kanye West’s “graduation” signaled not only another smash album from the Chicago-raised rapper, but his entry into the fashion world and the rise of one Amber Rose, who would become his muse.
