Who’s instigating Lil Kim vs. Nicki Minaj? (videos)

Rapper Lil Kim said in best more than 10 years ago, “I’mma throw shade if I can’t get paid.”
Now the rapper, feeling threatened from the newest female emcee to make waves, Nicki Minaj, just may make good on the threat.
Lil Kim’s controverial comments made during a performance last week have thrown shade on the rise of one of the most anticipated debuts of a female rapper in hip hop history.
Things were made worse when Ray J added words directed at Minaj’s style.
But who’s instigating the supposed beef between Lil Kim and Minaj?
Dudes, that’s who.
Minaj’s label mate, Drake, said some controversial words himself on stage, upping the ante, when it was probably best to let sleeping dogs lie.
But is this a real beef?
Or just good-natured jousting for reputations’ stake?
I mean, can’t two rappers both wear pink and green wigs and get along?
And why are dudes — Ray J and Drake — even getting in it?
Below is the video that started it all.
Then Ray J, who has enough going on, put his 2 cents in it: Saying “I aint calling no names.” Lil Kim went on to say, “We just want them to pay homage …”
Then Drake replied at this past weekend’s Summer Jam. “You’re the baddest chick to ever do this rap [stuff]…” then he disses Lil Kim “and them”.
