Nicki Minaj releases album date

Rapper Nicki Minaj said the date her long awaited, highly anticipated debut album will be released via Twitter on Thursday.
“November 23,” Minaj tweeted Thursday to a shocked flock of followers. Two days before Turkey Day.
Not since, well, a couple months ago, has a new artist’s initial album been so highly sought after.
Before Minaj label mate Drake release his album, “Thank Me Later,” you had to go back to the early 1990s to find a rapper who’s first LP was equivalent to crack on the street. His name was Snoop Doggy Dogg, and he was riding with a band of misfits called Death Row Records. Their ace was one Dr. Dre, who is supposedly ready to release his fabled “Detox” album.
But that’s enough about the past. Nicki Minaj has experienced No.1, and she’s experienced hip-hop beef, and she might … just might experience what a No. 1 album feels like. Time will tell.
