The return of Foxy Brown (video)
July 15, 2010 1 Comment
In the late 1990s, after simmering under the surface of New York City rap for a few years, Foxy Brown exploded on the scene opposite Jay-Z in the anthemic “Aint No Ni$$a“.
The song, looking back, did more for Jay-Z than it did for Foxy, although it put her on the A list of female rappers.
But time has a way of humbling even the hottest stars.
Fast forward to 2010, and Foxy finds herself outside looking in as a new femme fatale, Nicki Minaj, reigns as hip-hop queen.
But don’t start the eulogy.
Foxy is back.
Foxy Brown is back, her rapping, her hearing, everything. After a few years out of the limelight, Foxy is back and, judging by this video, still on some 1997 stuff. You be the judge.
