Why Can’t a Successful Black Woman Find a Man?

Atlanta was ground zero earlier this year for a powwow on why successful black women can’t find a man — any man. Black women, professional or not, are not getting cuffed, for various reasons. And we’ve got the video to document that this took place.

We heard from a woman who wanted to find a man who can help her “take the cornrows out” and also share the “freak” with.

We were introduced to The Denzel Principle = sometimes you have to be the person you’re looking for. Are black women looking for the dark, suave brother with the Maybach? “I’ve got a 5-year-old boy, so, a man who can help me” with him, said “The View” host Sherry Shepard, author and blogger Jimi Izrael, comedian Steve Harvey and journalist Jacque Reid all weighed in.

    Loool This debate is void before it has even begun. The idea that a man cares how successful a women is when picking a mate is absurd. Success is more a prerequisite for a women than a man. Men are primarily concerned with attractiveness. Its why so many old millionaires have young dumb girls on their arm.

     And there are many gay men that are man enough to take care of the children that your heterosexual men help create, but do not TAKE CARE OF. instead of cheap shots at gays, clean up your OWN house, and stop being savages and breeders, and be secure enough in your man/womanhood that the presence of a gay man does not disqualify them from giving quality relationship advice.

    Here’s the thing just because you got a nice job doesn’t qualify any woman to be a good partner to her man.

    A good man got his own so character and beauty are most likely top priority most men.

    Be impressed with the fact that God’s woman is a woman of real power. Which is more far reaching. Too often great women go unnoticed and without praise. Not so with the godly woman. God’s woman is of real substance and lasting quality and will offer important contributions to herself, to her family, and to society.

    Keep on thinking you’re successful because of what society has determined to be successful.
