42 and hot: Can an older model make it?

Ageism is prevalent in our society: People lose jobs because they are considered too old. Some people are hired because they are young.
In the modeling world, discrimination can often take the form of fashion directors or video producers choosing younger women or men. We all know why.
But Edna, 42, hopes to smash that stereotype.
“My goal is to show that even a mature woman in her 40′s can still be as sensual, sexy and beautiful, as she was when in her 20′s,” Edna says on her modeling profile.
If you have’nt already noticed, 40 is indeed the new 20.
Indeed, there are many celebrities in their 40s that are holding their own against Hollywood stereotypes that say you have to be young to succeed.
Janet Jackson, Halle Berry, the list goes on.
But can it happen in the flash-in-the-pan, photo shoot realm of modeling?
Can a cougar conquer the modeling world?
